Update:-19 July, 2018 Air traffic control and airport worker strike is on for this Saturday, 21 July, 2018.  Strike will last 24 hours 00:01 - 23:59 hours. Strikes from last year
First Italian nationwide taxi strike is planned for Thursday 14 December, 2017. Hard to maneuver in and around train stations, ports, city centers and airports. Give your self plenty of time to and from Linate Airport.

Following day all hell breaks out, Aviation workers call 24 hour strike, air traffic control 1pm - 5pm, Alitalia, Ryanair pilots on and on see Easy Travel Report you never know what can change. Strikes from 2017 that effected Linate Airport
May 26, 2017 Air traffic control strike planned for this Sunday has been cancelled and rescheduled to July 12, 2017 1pm - 5pm. Airport worker strikes are cancelled. Alitalia strike is still on. Taxi strike planned for following day also cancelled. 
Someone woke up and realized strike coincide with G7 leaders leaving Italy. Lucky you!

Alitalia pilots, flight attendants and personnel will strike Sunday, 28 May 2017 from 10am - 6pm. Call them if you are flying that day with them.

Italian Air Traffic Control Strike
Update:-More new out 26th May 11am
Italian air traffic controllers strike is planned for Sunday, May 28, 2017. 10am - 5pm. 
This strike is still on. Chances are your flight could be delayed, brought back or even cancelled. More news 48 hours before hand. 

Italian airport workers will strike same day, 28 May, 2017 for 24 hours. Strike will 
start 00:01 - 23:59hrs.

Thursday 19 January 2017 Urgent call out from Alitalia today. 

Milan Malpensa/Rome Airport
Alitalia is asking all passengers who are flying from Milan to/from Rome tomorrow between 2pm ad 6pm to call them, to reschedule.

Alitalia state workers at Malpensa are causing this problem not them. 

Updated today 19 January 2017 the official Italian gov site. (Yes, yesterday newspapers reported aviation strikes had been postponed to February 23, 2017, several strikes are planned for that day. Strikes cancelled were 24 hour strikes, if that helps) as you can see they've still got three strikes up...

15 May, 2015 A 24 hour aviation strikes are being planned for Monday 25 May, 2015. Linate Airport workers will be on and off striking. All flights will be effected except for flights to and from Bari, Brindisi and Genoa.

Update:-23 May 2015 Strikes are still on. Alitalia pilots and flight attendants will strike for 24 hours. UK national rail strike was cancelled. Iceland airport workers strike is still on. Greece union workers announced new strike for Monday. Worlds hopping.

7 May 2015 Bad day for travel at Italian airports today. Baggage handlers at Linate will be striking today. Alitalia flight attendants decided yesterday not to strike today.

Add to this the fire at Terminal 3 in Rome's Fiumicino Airport, airlines asked to cut back flights.

LAST YEARS STRIKE ACTIONS
Italian air traffic control strike
Controllers will strike 1 pm - 5 pm local time, 12 December 2014. It’s going to be a mess. Long hauls, short hauls and domestic flights will be grounded. 
In general flights will be not be normal till Sunday.

Alitalia Strike
Workers will strike from Noon - 4 pm. 

As this is a general strike airport workers baggage handlers, ramp workers etc will be striking from 10 am - 6 pm. 
Call your airline. Chances are you will be cancelled or brought forward or delayed.
You don’t want to be traveling around Italy that day. Call work, stay an extra day.

Italian trains will strike all weekend.

Taxi’s will be hard to find, extra traffic on roads causing traffic jams, occasional road blocks.

Milan taxi drivers will have a protest Thursday, 20th February. Make plans if flying into Linate, Malpensa Airports or Milan train station. Thousands of buyers and journalists in town. Milan's Chamber of Commerce hoping to change drivers minds.

Wildcat Linate taxi driver strike is going on. Other dates February 20th from 8 am to 22 and a meeting is planned on February 10 to protest near a garrison Piazza della Scala, starting at 16.
